Moderator: Tonight we are talking to Lex ( sorry guys, Jay is unavailable at the moment) from Frenzal Rhomb - Aria nominee for "Best Pop Release". Hi guys how are you?
Frenzal Rhomb: i'm very well thanks and very chuffed to be nominated for a "pop" song

Moderator: Being the "punkest" band in the world as quoted on your website, what does being a nominee for best "pop" release mean to you guys?
Frenzal Rhomb: its confirms that we are misunderstood and will never be understood by the public at large and a little upset by that... we ask that everyone stops singing THAT song

Moderator: frenzalromerox: are you guys excited about the arias?
Frenzal Rhomb: ummm well we are excited that we will have a chance to dress down for the occassion, we are excited that we will get to see various stars put various substances in their bodies... and we are also excited that we will get the chance to 'pantz' Ricky Martin hahah

Moderator: go-frenzal-go: how did ya come up with the name frenzal rhomb?
Frenzal Rhomb: jason burped really loudly one day and that is exactly what it sounded like.... frenzal rhomb

Moderator: When did the band form and are you an orinal member?
Frenzal Rhomb: yes i'm an original member and the band formed approx 10 mins ago hehe

Moderator: Tell us a little about the band and the musical style?
Frenzal Rhomb: well we play this crazy new form of musica called punk rock that hasn't been heard before and we are obviously inovators of punk rock and we are brain surgeons at heart and put that into our music

Moderator: DVS: were u surprised that their is a horse named after u?
Frenzal Rhomb: we were initially surprised and then very dissapointed when it failed to win, we had a large sum of money on it

Moderator: pennywiser: who are your main influences?
Frenzal Rhomb: hahahah by alcohol

Moderator: The website you have is well put together, did you have alot of input in it?
Frenzal Rhomb: yes

Moderator: I noticed on the website that you guys have been through a few drummers and guitarists, is that just musical differences?
Frenzal Rhomb: ahh no we had fisty cuffs and gun fights, in the end we sorted it all out by having an old fashioned knob restle

Moderator: frenzal_frenzy: are u gonna release a new album soon???
Frenzal Rhomb: new album comes out on 20 nov and its called "shut your mouth" and its 16 tracks of music

Moderator: MiKe[zero]: whats your view on the whole napster good/napster bad thing?
Frenzal Rhomb: well.... i don't give a rats 4ss..... music should be accesable to everyone no matter how much they earn

Moderator: Your first ep released in 1994 had a very interesting name and cover, can you elaborate on why you chose it?
Frenzal Rhomb: cause someone drew the picture first and we couldn't stop laughing and it had to be released its got dual covers as some stores would show one of the covers

Moderator: tizkt: out of all the shows you've done, which has been your favourite?
Frenzal Rhomb: a private show i did in my bedroom last night using the two way mirror hahaha

Moderator: pennywiser: which of your songs do u like the best?
Frenzal Rhomb: i'm having a hard time picking my fav of the new album, at the moment its a new song called "rats in the walls"

Moderator: i-CouldNt-Find-My-Pants_toDay: where do you get your inspiration to write songs such as: Pants & you cant move into my house?
Frenzal Rhomb: well we had a friend who wanted to move in and it just wantsn't going to happen and jase lost his pants one day and had to go the whole day without pants.... every frenzal rhomb song is a true life dramatic

Moderator: frenzal_frenzy: what will u do if u win against all the other people on your catergory for best pop release???
Frenzal Rhomb: we are going to go up and gordy our dummy has promised he will actually do a poooo on stage

Moderator: pennywiser: are you guys gonna play the warped tour when it comes down under in jan?
Frenzal Rhomb: ahhh if they ask us nicely :)

Moderator: Manda^: Hey, im going to livid tommorow and am totally shocked that your not playing! how come?
Frenzal Rhomb: we are not playing because we are playing later in the month with pennywise

Frenzal Rhomb: all the time....and occasionly i respond using a fake name hahahah

Moderator: If you werent in a band what would you be doing?
Frenzal Rhomb: i would be a cronic... masterbator.... hahaha

Moderator: Are you guys on tour at the moment? If so where and for how long have you been on the road?
Frenzal Rhomb: we have just come back from a tour in japan for two weeks, before that we were in chicago finishing the album

Frenzal Rhomb: VB

Moderator: frenzalromerox: are you becoming a computer nerd like the rest of the population?
Frenzal Rhomb: well... i have a computer but i'm not smart enough to be a true nerd unfortunately

Moderator: Memorable tour stories, got any to share with us?
Frenzal Rhomb: well there is the time that gordie and lindsay walked home from the pub nude in america and gordie lost his wallet.... he then had to call the consulate and explain how he lost his passport hhaha

Moderator: [mark]: what do the guys see frenzal doing in the next few years?
Frenzal Rhomb: there is every likelyhood we will do a few shows, do a few albums, you know, change the world from the icecaps down

Moderator: beergut: How many litres of beer duz gordy consume in 1 day????
Frenzal Rhomb: haha more than his fluid weight

Moderator: pennywiser: do u have more fun playing at an instore signing in your home town or playing to a big crowd?
Frenzal Rhomb: i have fun playing full stop, every exerience is good

Moderator: soccerman: will you be appearing in shopping centres?
Frenzal Rhomb: we asked bardot if we could do the westfield tour with them *grin*

Moderator: frenzalromerox: have you guys made any close friends in the australian music industry?
Frenzal Rhomb: nooo... everyone hates us. hahha we try to make friends but it just doesn't work

Moderator: frenzal_frenzy: ur song titles are very wacky where do u get the inspiation from???
Frenzal Rhomb: from the side of cereal boxes and the two dollar shop

Moderator: MAHALA: will u ever play anymore gigs on the central coast again do you remeber the bomb scare
Frenzal Rhomb: ahhh we remember the bomb scare and yes, we will play the central coast again, actually its at your house hahaha

Moderator: CrAzY_58: how do you treat fans that gooo crazy over u guys just like anyone else or do you think their weird?
Frenzal Rhomb: well i think anyone who goes crazy over us is weird, but we LURVE everyone

Moderator: frenzalromerox: when are you guys coming to Perth next
Frenzal Rhomb: we are coming to perth i think... we may be there at the end of nov, otherwise the big day out

Moderator: MiKe[zero]: Hey, I have to tell you, that that episode of recovery 2 or 3 years ago, when the guy from custard was hosting, i loved it when u poured the custard on his head... that was hella funny....
Frenzal Rhomb: he told us he was happy his band wasn't called dog %#$^#

Moderator: Do you stage dive?
Frenzal Rhomb: no of my own will hahaha

Moderator: go-frenzal-go: the song do ya wanna fight me now that has a hard riff to play on the guitar got any tips on how to do it?
Frenzal Rhomb: yeah try being a bass player

Moderator: [mark]: what does you think of the change in frenzal's style?
Frenzal Rhomb: well.... we are still doing the same thing we always do which is play what the %#$^# we want, and if you listen to our first album you will notice there is some awesome stuff on that as well

Moderator: pennywiser: what do u think of lindsays new hair style?
Frenzal Rhomb: it wasn't a hair style so much as a hair accident

Moderator: DVS: r u guys playing at the arias if so r u going to try a prank on natalie again?
Frenzal Rhomb: hahah they won't let us play *awwww*

Frenzal Rhomb: indeed and the wedding will be tuesday next week

Frenzal Rhomb: we hope to be spending the rest of our natural lives in tassie cause its such a facinating place, but seriously we will get there soon
