If you are on a BigPond Liberty plan, once you reach your usage allowance, the speed of your service will slow to 64kbps until your new billing cycle starts.
# Speeds up to 30Mbps and 8Mbps are based on Telstra tests. Speeds up to 30Mbps are available in selected areas of Melbourne and Sydney when downloading from capable sites or across multiple sites within your state. Other areas have speeds up to 17Mbps. BigPond Broadband Cable is not available in all areas. Actual customer speeds vary due to factors such as your actual location, your plan, internet traffic, your equipment/software and the way data is transmitted. Some modems (incl. Motorola SB4100/SB4200) not compatible with this speed. With a Home Network Gateway, actual downloads speeds are slower than our top speed.
* Monthly usage allowance means combined upload and download data transfer. 1 GB = 1000MB. Unused usage allowance is forfeited each month. Additional usage charged at $0.15/MB and is capped at $300 from the first bill cycle on or after 29th of November 2009. No additional usage charges apply to BigPond Liberty plans.

Cancellation and Reconnection
In the event you need to cancel your BigPond Cable service, the cancellation fee is $360 pro rated for the months remaining on your contract term.
For example, a BigPond Member who cancels their contract 9 months into a 12 month contract may have to pay a termination fee of $360 x 3/12 (where 3 is the number of months left to run on the contract, divided by 12 months) = $90.
Reconnection fees There is a standard $55 fee to reconnect your BigPond Cable service if it is disconnected (for example if you are moving house or if you are disconnected for non-payment). If the cabling on your existing connection requires more than 15 minutes work to restore, you will also be charged for the extra work as per our standard fee for service - $22.00 per 15 minutes, or part thereof.
The total fee for a reconnection (including the $55 fee and any service charges) will not exceed your initial installation fee.
If you choose our self-install option but then find you need a BigPond technician to assist, you may be charged an additional $189 for the service call.

It is an infringement of copyright to download, copy, share or distribute such materials unless it is expressly permitted by the Copyright Act or you have the permission of the copyright owner. You must not use BigPond services to do any of these things.
