Once you've chosen the plan that suits you, select one of the two modem options:

• Cable Home Network Gateway - for networking your home, or
• Cable standard modem.

• Includes cable modem, a router and a Wi-Fi access point in one.
• Lets you be online from almost anywhere in your home, without all the messy wires^*.
• Great for families - everyone in the house can be online at the same time^{^}.
• Connect multiple desktop and laptop computers and game consoles.
• Lets you create your own private wireless network within your home.

Note: Each computer you wish to wirelessly connect to the cable home network gateway must have either a built-in Wi-Fi adapter (such as Intel Centrino) or a USB Wi-Fi adapter (Windows PCs only), or a PCMCIA card Wi-Fi adapter (Windows PCs only) or for Mac, an Apple Airport.

• Includes BigPond Cable Standard Modem.
• Surf the internet without tying up your phone or fax.
• Great connection for up to two computers. Note: Macs need to be professionally installed.
• Connects via an ethernet or USB cable between your computer and the cable modem.

Self installation

Connecting your BigPond Broadband Cable is easy. Our self-install kit has everything you need to get up and running almost immediately. Each kit includes:

• a cable standard modem or a Home Network Gateway.
• a BigPond Self-Install CD.
• a BigPond Broadband User Guide.

You'll be able to self-install as long as:

• you have a Foxtel cable outlet (not satellite) with two or less wallplates, and
• the cable outlet is active, or has been active since July 2001.

If you don't feel comfortable installing your cable modem yourself, or your cable set-up isn't suitable, we'll be happy to send out a Telstra technician to install your modem for you, at a time that suits you.

Note: The BigPond technician will only install BigPond Broadband on one PC.
