System Requirements

The following are the recommended minimum requirements for BigPond Broadband Cable using your BigPond Cable Standard Modem or a Home Network Gateway.

Cable Standard Modem connection

BigPond's minimum system requirements for a cable standard modem connection are:

Hook up more than one PC to the internet simultaneously with a Cable Home Network Gateway.

Notes:

i. Depending on configuration, performance will vary.

ii. Macintosh computers can only be connected to a Cable Standard Modem via an existing Ethernet port. Macintosh USB connectivity is not supported in any configuration.

iii. Macintosh is not supported for self-installation.

* Server editions of Windows XP are not supported. Windows XP (x86/64-bit) is not supported.

BigPond's minimum system requirements for a cable Home Network Gateway connection are:
