System Requirements
If you have access to a fixed phone line, then you only need a suitable computer and modem to join BigPond Dial-Up. You'll find the recommended minimum system requirements below.

If you're not sure whether your computer is ready for BigPond Dial-Up, please contact us. Server editions of Windows 2000 and XP are NOT supported.
Technical support service
Please note that BigPond Technical Support cannot help you configure a LAN (Local Area Network) or other sharing arrangement for a BigPond connection. However, we can provide non implementation-specific technical information to help you configure your dialup router or gateway router device. Telephone technical support is limited to the following:

Not supported | PCs in a LAN or sharing environment. (This includes PCs that have 2 network cards installed but are not currently connected to a network. Please place your PC into a stand-alone single state before you call the Helpdesk). Troubleshooting resolutions that affect the networking components of a networked PC, e.g. TCP/IP and Adapters. (This includes PCs that have network cards installed but are not currently connected to a network). Your Network Administrator should help you to set up, configure and troubleshoot your BigPond connection. Support is still offered to troubleshoot Dial-up (POP) number, email set-up, and modem configuration.
