International Roaming
Turn the world into your very own internet cafe with International Roaming. Get connected overseas using your Next G™ Wireless Broadband Mobile service (mobile card, express mobile card and USB mobile card), with broadband speeds in over 45 countries*.
Setting up International Roaming
Simply activate International Roaming 24 hours before you intend to access the internet while overseas. If you're already overseas, that's fine too - just contact us on +61 2 9242 1238 (international call rates will apply).
International roaming costs $15 (GST excl) per MB, plus a $0.50 (GST excl) connection fee, and these charges also apply when accessing BigPond unmetered sites.
Where you can use International Roaming
We're working hard to make international roaming available in as many places as possible, and right now BigPond Wireless Broadband Mobile Members can enjoy broadband speeds in over 45 countries, click here and refer to the 3G Roaming tab for full details of the countries offering broadband speeds*.
International roaming is also available at non-broadband speeds or GPRS speeds in over 50 countries on BigPond Wireless Mobile Card, USB Mobile Card and Express Mobile Card services only#.
Please note: International Roaming relies on third party networks beyond our control, which means the service may be withdrawn from a country at any time without notice.

* The 3.6 USB Mobile Card, and the BigPond Elite™ USB only support international roaming on 3G international networks on the 850 MHz or 2100 MHz bands (they do not support International Roaming on 3G 1900 MHz). Coverage only available in limited areas of the USA and Canada
