National Summary:
A trough in the east is bringing showers over interior QLD and northeast NSW. Easterly winds on the east coast are causing scattered showers. A high pressure ridge is keeping VIC, TAS and SA clear with dry, warm northeasterlies. A trough in WA is causing thundery showers.
The polar jet is arcing north towards WA, bringing cooler air towards the southwest corner. The jets are divergent in the east allowing a high to strengthen in the Tasman.
